Jason & Holly | September 28th, 2019
Jason and Holly got married on Saturday, September 28th at the Crowne Plaza in Lansing, Michigan.
I started the day with the girls as they got ready in the bridal suite. They shared lots of laughs, stories and bubbly! Meanwhile, the guys got all spiffed up down the hall as they watched football, cracked jokes, and drank beer.
Holly and Jason chose to do a first look in the ballroom before the ceremony. When Jason's blindfold was removed and he saw his gorgeous bride, you could just feel the emotion and excitement shared between them. I personally love first looks. It is a moment for the bride and groom to be alone together and to truly take in their special day. Some worry that first looks before the ceremony may take away from the emotion when the bride walks down the aisle toward her groom and he sees her, but this was not the case. As Holly's father accompanied her down the aisle I saw the exact same emotion and excitement on Jason's face, just without the nerves.
After the ceremony concluded, I joined the bridal party on the trolley that would take us to another location for photos, picked out by the groom himself! After a fun ride we arrived at Frances Park, a beautiful garden park full of greenery and blooming autumn florals. We made sure to get the formal bridal shots, but the rest of the time we celebrated Holly and Jason! The bridal party was such a blast and went along with all of my crazy ideas.
At six o'clock, the bridal party and the new Mr. and Mrs. Taber made their grand entrances to the reception, which was held back at the elegant Crowne Plaza. Toasts were made and dinner was served. The rest of the night was nothing but good times and even better dance moves!
I want to thank Holly, Jason and their families for allowing me to take part in their wedding day. It was such a beautiful day for two very special people. Best wishes to Holly and Jason!
