Alexander & Grace | June 22nd, 2019
The day began at The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor, located in the center of UofM's campus.
The groomsmen got ready, sharing laughs and struggles getting their bowties just right 😉. Meanwhile, the bride and her girls got ready downstairs. The bride shared emotional first looks with her bridesmaids, father, and four older brothers - I highly recommend first looks!
The ceremony was held inside the church's sanctuary, which allowed light to flow through the beautiful stained glass windows. The couple received a bubble-filled send off from their closest friends and family. From there it was time for some photos and a ride on the party bus, drinks and music included.
We soon arrived at the Richard L. Postma Family Clubhouse on the UM Golf Course, where cocktail hour had already begun. The bridal party entered the reception showing off their best dance moves as guests clapped and cheered. The bride's sister/maid of honor gave the first speech of the night, followed by the best man and a prayer from the father of the bride. Next was the cutting of the cake! The bride and groom opted for a smaller cake to cut, and had a dessert bar (cake, brownies, chocolate covered strawberries, etc.) for guests. The bride and groom shared their first dance as husband and wife, as well as the traditional father/daughter and mother/son dances. However, the father/daughter dance was anything but traditional, as they shared an amazing choreographed dance.
I want to thank Grace and Alexander (and their families) for inviting me to photograph their wedding day. It was truly an honor and I had such a fun time! My best wishes to the bride and groom as they start this new journey together 💕
