Kelsey + Ryan | September 8th, 2018
Kelsey and Ryan's love story began one afternoon in East Lansing where they were both attending Michigan State University. Fast forward to Saturday September 8th, 2018, these college sweethearts said "I do". The ceremony and reception were held at the beautifully, historic Brick Walker Tavern in Brooklyn, Michigan.
Kelsey and her bridesmaids, wearing cute matching flannels, began the day in the bridal suite getting their hair and makeup done. Kelsey received a handmade scrapbook containing letters and well wishes from her closest friends and family for her to read on her wedding day (cue all the happy tears!). At 3:00 guests began to arrive for the ceremony, which was to be held on the third floor of the tavern. Ryan escorted his parents to their seats and took his place at the front of the room, anxiously awaiting his bride. Soon after, the bridal party, ring "security", and flower girls made their way down the aisle. The music started and everyone stood. Kelsey was escorted down the aisle by her mother and father. The ceremony, though short, was perfect; from the bride and groom's personal vows to the huge smiles on everyone's faces. After the ceremony, the bride, groom, and bridal party took a limo ride to a nearby park to do photos and have some fun! I don't think I have witnessed a more fun-loving group of people. The bridesmaids constantly admired and complimented Kelsey, and the groomsmen were continuously laughing and goofing around. Of course, we took a moment for Kelsey and Ryan to have a moment together for some romantic photos. Once photos were concluded it was time to celebrate! The reception was held in a rustic two-story barn, decorated elegantly in shades of greens and white. When the happy couple arrived they were greeted with loud cheers and lots of excitement! The best man, Craig, was first to give a toast. He surprised everyone (especially the bride and groom) with an awesome remix of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song. He was followed by the maid of honor, Madison, who gave one of the sweetest toasts, full of love and lots of happy tears. The rest of the night followed suit with more love, laughter, tears, and many memories made.
I am so happy to have been able to capture Kelsey and Ryan's wedding day. Congratulations and best wishes for a happy life together! Go Green!
